 What is the Focal Point?

Focal point  is the point where the converging rays of light passing through a lens meet before they begin to disperse outwards again to where the the focal plane or film lie. As the rays of light pass this point they cross over an the image is projected upside down and back to front onto the film.

The focal point is a similar point to where the sun's rays can be focused with a magnifying glass to heat paper and even start a fire
