Colour Management Systems (CMS)
A set of related software utilities that help ensure calibrated colour displays and output by describing the characteristics and limitations of each device in an imaging system. A CMS also oversees transformations from one colour space to another, such as those occurring when RGB values are converted to CMYK ( Cyan, Magenta, yellow, Black)
