Brighton Coastal Otago World

The rock Prometheus lies in the sand between Barney's Island and the main bathing beach.
For months or even years it can be  completely buried under feet of  sand, but inevitably the strong flow of the storm tides, the cutting of the rivers flow to the ocean unearths the rock Body. Both Jones and Godman frequently walk past this Titan.

Lion rock, the small rock in the ocean on the far right, is the largest out crop in the Brighton bay. Godman has surfed in the bay since 1965 and over this time has had some close encounters with it.
