Rear Standard
This is similar to the front standard, except the back standard on the outside the ground glass and film holder are attached while on the inside the other end of the bellows is attached. The rear standard can be moved along the bed or rail of most cameras, and in some cases this movement is used to focus the image on the ground glass. Once the image is lined up and the photographer is ready to take the image, a film holder is inserted into a sprung slot on the rear standard to load the film for the exposure.
