Photograms out doors - Shadowgrams

Nature can throw shadows which can be used to make phototograms with alternative processes like Van Dyke Brown and Cyanotype and require an extended exposure to sunlight.

So rather than lay the object on the paper, the object can be adjacent to the sensitized paper and cast a delicate shadow across it.

While making photograms by this means requires enough sun to cast a shadow, they work best on a very bright day when there is a clear sky and no clouds to diffuse the sunlight.

I transport the coated paper in a light tight box, make the exposure are place it in the box again before processing.
