Moholy Nagy 1920s - Artists like Nagy, who was part of the Bauhaus launched in 1919 by Gropius used the photogram to explore ideas of simplicity and functionalism asymmetrical in their compositions. They often used only light to make their images. 

Anna Atkins1840s used the photogram technique to make a series of Cyanotype prints (blue prints) of plants, seaweed and feathers. 

Fox Talbot:1839 Was one of the inventors of photography and used photograms in some of his earliest experiments before the emulsions were sensitive enough to use in a camera. 

Man Ray: 1921 Rediscovered the technique and used is as a central part of his surrealist work.
