While working on the Myhology Place, Godman took his canoe with his son and Jones up the Brighton River in search of some of the places Baxter talked about. In the bushes Godman found an old brown beer bottle with an intricate embossing. On the way back there was a misshap with the canoe tipping all into the water there was a sense of urgency to rescue both the bottle and Godmans young son Andy from the deep  black water.
